Estiqo Privacy Policy

Effective 31 July 2026 · Last updated 6 August 2026

Estiqo is built on a simple principle: your portfolio is your business, not ours. This policy explains what that means in practice.

We collect no data

Estiqo does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There is no account to create, no server we operate, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We have no way to see your properties, finances, documents, contacts or anything else you put in the app.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter — properties, financial records, documents, receipts, contacts, key dates and photos — is stored locally on your device by default. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it (standard iOS behaviour). We recommend keeping regular device backups, or using Estiqo's built-in "Back up my data" export.

iCloud Sync (optional, off by default). Estiqo can sync your data across your own devices using iCloud. This feature is switched off until you turn it on yourself in Settings. When it's on, your data syncs to your own private iCloud account under Apple's iCloud terms and encryption — it syncs only between your own devices signed into that Apple ID. It never passes through any server we operate, and we have no way to access it, whether it's on or off. You can turn it off again at any time; your existing iCloud copy isn't deleted by switching it off.

Face ID

The optional App Lock uses Face ID / Touch ID via Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data never leaves your device and is never available to Estiqo — Apple's system only tells the app "unlocked" or "not unlocked".

Notifications

Key-date reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent anywhere.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We receive no payment details. Apple's handling of that information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Phone calls and email

When you tap to call or email a contact, iOS hands the number or address to your Phone or Mail app. Nothing is routed through us.

Security

Your data is protected by your iPhone's own on-device encryption and, if you turn it on in Settings, Face ID / Touch ID via Apple's LocalAuthentication framework — biometric data never leaves your device and is never available to Estiqo (Apple's system only tells the app "unlocked" or "not unlocked"). Because everything lives locally rather than on a server we operate, there's no central database of customer data to be breached — the security of your data is, in practice, the security of your own device, so a device passcode and staying current with iOS updates are the most meaningful things you can do to protect it.

Deleting your data

Deleting the App removes everything stored locally on that device immediately, in line with standard iOS behaviour. If you ever turned on iCloud Sync, a copy of your data may still exist in your own private iCloud account after you delete the App, since that copy lives under your Apple ID's iCloud storage, not inside the App itself. To remove it too, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Settings → General → iPhone Storage) and remove Estiqo's iCloud data from there. We have no ability to do this for you, since we have no access to your iCloud account.

Your rights, and this policy's scope

The Australian Privacy Principles primarily govern organisations that collect or hold personal information — since Estiqo has no server, no accounts and collects nothing, there is, in practice, no personal information for us to hold, access, correct or be asked to delete on your behalf; the data that exists only ever exists on your own device or your own iCloud account, fully in your control at all times. We're setting this out for transparency, not to sidestep it — if that architecture ever changed, we'd update this policy first, per "Changes" below, before it did.

Children

Estiqo is a financial tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Australia.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. The principle above will not change.
